1st December 2010

It's hard to believe that the Creen Advent Calendar has been going since 2003! So now in its eighth year, here's our daily selection of the best seasonal photos, gifts, oddments and songs to brighten up your December, whether you plan to go to Midnight Mass or a Skeptics in the Pub shindig.

It's the most wonderful time of the year, especially if you're a fan of Starbucks Christmas drinks. We love their little tree ornaments as they remind us of having a grande hot chocolate with whipped cream.

Anyway, we're not here to advertise! But today is World Aids Day, and one of the organisations helping Aids sufferers is Product Red. If you buy a coffee at Starbucks today, they'll give 5p towards fighting Aids in Africa. But why not give more?

Thanks to http://www.flickr.com/photos/letsbook/ for the picture.
