Then and now. Twelve years ago we watched our first Princess Estelle video, she's the granddaughter of the King of Sweden and 2nd in line to the throne. But back then she was just 18 months old, and starring with her parents Victoria and Daniel in a Christmas video from Kungahuset (the Swedish Royal Court). Now in 2025, she is 13, her brother Oscar is 9, and here is this year's video - but there's a new baby in town ... Princess Ines! It's become a tradition on the penultimate day of the Advent Calendar to share with you how the Swedish Royal Family is getting on. Since 2012, when Crown Princess Estelle was born, there has been an annual video showing Estelle, her parents Victoria (who will be Queen one day soon) and Daniel, and lately her little brother Oscar, doing some Swedish Christmas crafts. Here's this year's candlemaking, at an old house in the Skansen in Stockholm, with a flashback to 1980 when Victoria did the same thing with her parents.   Hard to believe it's 11 years since you first saw Estelle on the Advent Calender. For the last 11 years of the Advent Calendar, we have celebrated with the Swedish Royal Family, watching Princess Estelle (and more recently her brother Prince Oscar) growing up. The children of Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel, they are always photogenic and make marvellous Christmas videos.    They also dressed up for Lucia, a Swedish festival of lights. Estelle is now 11 and Oscar is 7. God Jul!

Our favourite royal family is still the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria, husband Daniel, and their adorable children Princess Estelle (7) and Prince Oscar (3) Every year they appear in a Christmas video, and for 2019 they visited the Royal Church and were told the Christmas story.
