Not having a terrestrial TV aerial means we've missed out on most of the Christmas adverts this year. Unless they pop up on ITV X, or we seek them out on Youtube. John Lewis didn't even seem to get talked about this year. There's a great long read from the FT all about how Sainsbury's (and others) have been planning their Christmas adverts since January. Use the gift link here:  https://on.ft.com/4gFilgm And here's the Sainsbury's ad in question. Judge for yourself if it hits the mark: We've got to share Adam's favourite Christmas ad which has featured on the Advent Calendar many times!

When we first set up the calendar, the idea of Festive Fridays was that everyone would be visiting the site in their office, the music video would come on and spontaneous dancing would ensue. Not sure if that ever actually happened! Today's video is a couple of GAP classics: And as a bonus, another of their fab 'Holiday' videos. (PS sorry for yesterday's link not working, it's a long time since I coded in HTML)

Fridays on the Advent Calendar are always full of music! We hope that you're in the office or at home, ready to crank up the volume and share some great seasonal tunes with all of your colleagues/family/pets/neighbours! Christmas wouldn't be "The Holidays" without a seasonal ad or two, like this new one from The Gap: And if you like that one, here's the holiday ad from their sister firm Old Navy. Sarah loves this one because it features New Kid On The Block JORDAN KNIGHT!! Bonus beats: here's Adam's favourite ever Gap ad, directed by Michel Gondry:

Another great Christmas tree today, this one is a colourful fabric pattern that I spotted in the Gap store on Oxford Street. The Sugababes turned on the Oxford Street lights this year, which is slightly more prestige than my visit to Bluewater where Geri Halliwell silently turned on the lights and then strode off the stage.
